Brief

When we first collaborated with Anglo-French-German law firm Taylor Wessing it was a mid-tier City practice best known for its IP capability. Its real estate and construction work was relatively unknown. How could we help these two practice groups make a breakthrough in their markets?
 

Solution

Although the sustainability arena was crowded with competitors, we identified a leadership gap. We carried out two of the largest surveys ever conducted of the development industry and its state of preparation for regulation on sustainability. We identified 8,000 target individuals, from funders and specifiers to developers and advisers. Our subsequent report “Hitting the Green Wall…and Beyond” has been acclaimed as the most comprehensive research report on the area to date.

Outcome

B2B marketing, PR, public affairs and event management resulted in 30,000 downloads of the report in the first month. We gained widespread coverage in UK and international media, including CNBC, The Independent, Building, Property Week, Construction News and leading environmental blogs. The first version of the report won the Research and Victor Ludorum prizes at the 2009 Property Marketing Awards. The second report, conducted with the British Property Federation, helped Taylor Wessing to win two major real estate clients.
